Saudi+Arabia%E2%80%99s+Deficit+Narrows+To+Two+Year+Low

Saudi Arabia’s budget deficit narrowed to $9.1bn last quarter thanks to bumper profits for Saudi Aramco (MEES, 7 August). Aramco’s profits soared by 33% in Q2, with its government payments increasing to their highest level since mid-2024.

The Q2 deficit was less than a third of Q1’s huge $33.5bn figure and even fell below 2Q 2025’s $9.2bn (see table). With spending remaining elevated, the improved finances were entirely the result of higher revenues. (CONTINUED - 597 WORDS)
